Etsang Dieta Primary Multi-Purpose Cooperative Limited also known as just ‘Etsang’ or ‘EDC’ is a shoe manufacturing cooperative headed by five directors. Etsang Dieta has managed to expand its manufacturing range from just specializing in school shoes to producing fashion footwear and supplying safety shoes, although this is so, diversifying our range even further continues to be an upcoming endeavour. Etsang Dieta’s key precedencies are, firstly, engendering substantial wealth and skills in our growing company and lastly creating employment and transferring skills to, particularly, the young black community.

Our Story
Established by the late Mary Nkopane, a visionary passionate about shoe manufacturing and poverty reduction, Etsang Dieta began with a mission to create quality footwear while generating meaningful employment. Today, our cooperative is led by five dedicated directors who continue this legacy of craftsmanship and community investment.
From our humble beginnings with 15 workers, we've grown to employ and train over 50 skilled individuals, primarily from the young Black community - fulfilling our commitment to skills transfer and economic empowerment.
